In Summer 2019, the plan is to walk around the entire perimeter of Wales – over 1000 miles! This is something I have wanted to do for many years, since the Wales Coast Path opened. After finding myself unhappy in the job I was doing, I decided to change my life up a bit, and the seeds of this adventure were sown.
I also aim to collect stories whilst embarking on this walk, stories that I can later turn into songs and music. As a musician with a Master’s degree in Ethnomusicology, collecting stories from my home country is something I find important, as it helps to preserve our culture and traditions.
I was lucky enough to receive a £300 grant from the Jeremy Willson Charitable Trust for this project, which helped me to buy some gear for this trip! I am so grateful for their help. Follow the link to their website to find out all the other amazing projects they have given grants to in memory of Jeremy Willson.
I will also be fundraising for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, as I am extremely passionate about the environment and bees are the backbone of our ecosystem. You can read more about their projects on their website, or follow this link to go to my donation page:
